Locate R/O CONN as
close to the front of the cabinet as possible. Use self drilling screws provided, to
attach R/O CONN in a horizontal or vertical position. Use 1/4" food grade
polyethylene tubing on all connections.
When adding icemaker and tank valve kits to the 1/4" FSD-JG model. Use 3 wraps of
1/2" Teflon tape on the 1/4" IPS threads.
Do not overtighten plastic threads. Tighten until valve will not rotate freely on
stainless steel mounting plate when handle is turned.
When servicing the reverse osmosis unit, turn off all ball valves. If not using a tank
valve kit, make sure to turn off storage tank valve on storage tank. Open reverse osmosis
system spigot to relieve pressure in tubing. Remove system from under sink by
disconnecting it from R/O CONN using push-in fittings, (see diagram at right). Make
sure to use drain plug provided to seal the drain. Use red caps provided to seal
ends of tubing. Follow manufacturer's instructions for filter/membrane replacement. If
equipped with tank valve kit, storage tank can remain attached to R/O CONN. Follow
manufacturer's instructions for proper air pre charge and sanitation. Storage tank can be
flushed with tap water by attaching a 12" piece of tubing to tap water feed valve and
tank valve. Fill storage tank, then detach tube from tap water feed valve and attach to
spigot connector. This is the fastest way to drain the storage tank. If you don't have a
tank valve kit, use tank line to drain by disconnecting it from the reverse osmosis
system. Once installed you need no tools to install or remove reverse osmosis system.
Expansion kits are available from your water treatment dealer. R/O CONN is made from the
best materials available to give you years of trouble free operation. R/O CONN is made to
be used repeatedly and requires no maintenance other than a little silicone lubricant on
the o-rings to help tubing slide in and out easily.
